GAYA ČASOVA

2010 – 2019

Gaya was our first hovawart. In September 2010, when we moved from an apartment to our house, our daughter reminded us that we had promised her a dog if we ever moved into a house. She was 6 years old. After deciding which breed would be suitable for our lifestyle, we decided on a dog of a lesser-known German breed – the Hovawart. The Časova kennel from Velenje was giving away a 4-month-old female dog, Gaya, and it was love at first sight.

As a family member, Gaya accompanied us at sea, skiing, camping, she won more 2000 meter peaks with us than many Slovenians. In short, she was a dog perfect for us.

As a breeding dog, she pleased us with two litters. The first, laid on May 4th 2013, when she gave birth to 9 puppies ( litter J), and the second, laid at the end of February 2017, when she delighted us with 10 little balls (litter B). We kept the female dog Blu from this litter, with whom we wanted to continue breeding.

Gaya and I passed the B-BH exam, which was necessary to obtain a breeding license, and she was very happy to follow, so we also took part in mantrailing training. She also enthusiastically performed defense exercises according to the IGP program.

With a very heavy heart, we had to say goodbye to our first Hovawart after almost ten years of active life together.
